Looking for confirmation of the occupation of John Hedge on the baptism record of THOMAS WILTSHIRE HEDGE

I've looked at the original and can't see it at that date.
Nor is it on the IGI and woolwich is pretty well cevered for that period.

Thankyou so much for your reply.

This confirms I have the correct John Hedge....his next child was baptised in Pontefract and he is listed as Sarjent in RHA.

I have his service records and he retired from th RHA in 1920 on a pension.

Now need to check those muster and pay rolls at Kew to follow his whereabouts.
