Janet and Edward Humphrey - Victoria BC

Looking for anyone in Canada who has a connection or related to Janet Humphrey (ms Cowie or McLaren) and her husband Edward Kitchener Humphrey. Janet was born 2nd August 1919 in Scotland and died 6th May 1987 in Victoria BC. She and her husband lived at 1735 Emerson Street, Victoria (formerly her parents home - Robert and Elizabeth Cowie) from approx 1978 until her death in 1987.

I have no further information for her husband other than that he was still residing in Victoria up until 1999 and assume he has now since died.

I have been kindly sent copies of the death records for Robert and Elizabeth Cowie and for Janet Humphrey by a Rootschat member in BC but am now keen to make contact with anyone who might know of these families who lived in Victoria ie Cowie (from 1962) and Humphrey.

Any info (know matter how small) would be much appreciated.

I'd just like to point out that we are a genealogy site, and although we do find living descendants for people who have already searched out ancestors...we'd appreciate the threads stick to discussing or researching ancestors.

Thanks for your reply reply J.J. and I appreciate what you are saying - an error on my part - have worded this wrongly and should have asked for anyone researching these families.

Am aware of the site you mention but have no wish to go down this route at the moment.

As a follow on to more background of these families I know that Robert Cowie (1892 - 1973) and his wife Elizabeth Waddell Orr or McLaren emigrated to Canada from Scotland in the 1920s (separately). Robert lived in Winnipeg from 1928 until 1962 before retiring to Victoria, BC. Therefore looking for any information I can find on their marriage etc and that of Janet and Edward Humphrey (either in Winnipeg or Victoria).
