Does anyone know where i could find a brief history of The Woolpack Country Inn in Whitley, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

Hi...
Now there is a good subject.. the Woolpack is supposed to be 300 years old but I can't be positive about it.
If anything does come up I'd love to know too, I was a chef there for a while and knew the chef who ran the kitchen during the seventies and early eighties.

Why not ask the dewsbury Local Studies Library if they can recommend a book or other material that carries such a history?

Try googling the name Peter Tuffrey, though he was based in Doncaster and did histories of pubs in the town, I believe his interests extended throughout the West Riding.
