I'm seeing if I can find out anything further about:

MEAD, William born abt 1780

married 7 Nov 1814 in Cheddington, Bucks
to PUNTER, Sophia born 13 July 1783.
died in Long Marston, Herts 10 March 1846.

One suggestion is that this William could be the illegitimate son of Mary Mead -christened on 27 May 1781 in Wendover, Bucks.

Looking at the above I'm wondering whether I should post this in Bucks rather than Herts - even though the family history is mainly in Long Marston.

All a bit vague I know but I'd appreciate any comments/suggestions/assistance.
