Donald Morrison, Scotland and Wyoming

Donald Morrison was born in Sutherland, Scotland on 10 November 1887 and was last seen on an end of service certificate from the British navy in New Zealand in 1914.  There is a person on a WWI registration card born on 10 November 1888 who could be him but is working as a shepherd in Washakie County, Wyoming, USA.

Can anyone add to the information about this person.

I think this is the same Donald Morrison who registered for the WWI draft in Wyoming in Jun 1917:

Canadian Expeditionary Force WWI

July 17, 1917

Donald John Morrison, born Parish of Uig, Rosshire, Scotland
Next of kin: Ewin Morrison(father), Mrs. Christina Morrison(mother), 17 Breanish, Miaviag, Stornoway, Scotland
Date of birth: Nov 10, 1888
Trade: Shepherd

Thank you very much for your effort.  The Donald John from Uig is not who I am looking for but I will pass it on to others to whom it might mean something.  My Donald is from Sutherland, Scotland rather than Ross-shire.  I will take note of all you have said and see if it links up with anything else. 

The other possibility is that my Donald was killed in WWI.  Hope not but when someong goes missing around that time it's a possibility.
