Jock Hyslop
« on: Friday 25 September 09 19:31 UTC (UK) »

Hi I am looking for information about a gentleman called Jock Hyslop who used to live in a caravan on the outskirts of Newton Stewart in the 60's. He was related to the owner of Hyslop (plumbers) I'm sure his brother.

The firm is presently called Hyslop and Porter. I have approached the current owner for information - but I was unable to gather any, as the man is too young to remember anything but he is aware that Jock was a relative.

The attached photo is Jock and I know he was in a Japanese prisoner of war camp during the 2 WW. I hope someone out there can help me collect some information about Jock.

Regards.

This is an update to my first thread - He was locally known affectionately as the Gnome.
