Would anyone have any information on a Neil Morrison, born  Kyle Strome, Assynt who married a Mary MacKay about 1740?

As far as I can work out, the Old Parish Registers for Assynt are only available from  1798 onwards so it's difficult to do any searching unless you have access to other sources in the Nat Library in Edinburgh, etc.

From where did you get the information?

Hi Inez:

Neil Morrison of Kylestrome married Mary Mackay, daughter of Donald Mackay, Clasneach, and Barbara Sutherland. Donald Mackay was of the Strathy branch of Mackays, according to the Book of Mackay. This book does not give descendants of Neil & Mary; however, the janj web site does, although I am dubious about this information.
