Hi all,
I'm helping a friend whose grandmother, Roberta Sime (nee Nichol), died on 27 April 1920 at Easter Happrew, Stobo.
Can someone please advise me where to find a burial record for Roberta Sime?
Kind regards, Shirelass

I found the burial record for Roberta Sime on scotlands people website but did not have enough credits to view it. But it's there if you want to look it up. Mike

Hi Mike,
Many thanks for your reply. I've found, and downloaded, the death registration entry for Roberta Sime, from Scotlandspeople, but it doesn't show where she was buried, unless I'm looking in the wrong place.
I would like to try and find a contact address for burial registers for Stobo cemetery, if anyone can help, to see if that's where she was buried, or would any newspapers cover the area of Easter Happrew, Stobo?
Kind regards, Shirelass

Hi , I mis-read your original posting. The burial records for Stobo for that period are held by Borders Council. If you go to their website you will find the contact details for obtaining burial records. Mike

Hi Avril,
Many thanks for your reply.
I'm tempted to think that Roberta Sime would probably be buried locally, given that she died in childbirth in Easter Happrew.
I've followed up Mike's suggestion of contacting Borders Council, and they've been extremely helpful with telephone numbers of who to contact, so hopefully, I'll find out where Roberta Sime's is actually buried.
Kind regards, Shirelass
