Alexander McMillan or Mullen married Jean Johnston 1825 in Kilmarnock
« on: Saturday 26 September 09 11:47 UTC (UK) »

I am researching my Kilmarnock family, and my great great grandfather Alexander McMillan was married to Jean Johnston (daughter of George Johnston and Janet Stevenson) in Kilmarnock in 1825. The marriage record shows his surname as Mullen though later records are McMillan. The 1841 census showed him then as age 30 but marriage date suggests older. Am looking for confirmation of my Alexander's parents, birthplace and date. Any help appreciated
