Please  could a Roots Chatter advise where this place is on Anglesey?

It is shown on the Freereg site and it seems there is/was a church there but I cannot locate it on a map.

Hi Jo,

Here's a link to Llanfair on Streetmap (which I lifted from the parish's page on Genuki).

Hello Rol,

Thanks for this.

I did look at Genuki quickly but missed it.

Not a place to venture these days by the look of it. Near to Wylfa and a trip there might result in a bright glow in the dark!

Easily overlooked,  right down there at the foot of the page . . .

Yes,  the progenitors certainly didn't have much excess luminosity to worry about.  Still,  war,  famine,  pestilence and the wild west wind were probably quite enough to stop life getting too dull!

I have a copy of the Memorial  Inscriptions for Llanfairynghornwy, St Mary's Church  - if you need a look-up.
Regards - Margaret.

Thanks Margaret, I am seeking members of the OWEN family who lived there back in the 1780s and before that. Could I ask you to see if there are any mentioned in the source you have please?

There are at least three separate gravestones transcribed from the 1700s with the surname Owen.

Owen d. 1717 age 11.
Edward d.1793, wife Margaret d. 1819 and son John d. 1795.
William d. 1809 and wife Margaret d. 1799.

Not sure if these will be of any help to you.

Thanks for these, they are very helpful.

Could I please ask if there are any for Owen in the period 1790-1830?

The only suitable one I could find was Hugh Owen d. 1836 aged 81 and his wife Jane d. 1857 aged 78.
All the others seem to be of a later date.
