Can anyone help? death in a property
« on: Sunday 27 September 09 22:09 UTC (UK) »

Hi I'm new to this, is there any way I can find out who died in my house before I moved in??

I am having strange goings on, and have been told (from very unreliable sources) that someone died here.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Hi and welcome to Rootschat

You could ask your neighbours - simplest way

If you are an owner/occupier - previous owners details will be shown on the deeds

If you are renting - contact the landlord/letting agent

thanks, i will give the neighbours a try, although both sides are pretty young so might not be so helpful.

The property is currently an authorities home, but has been a bought property in the past 10 years, previous to being bought it was authorities.

I dont think the housing association will be very helpful towards my query.

Thanks again.
