Interesting to hear of your Baileys and I will bear that in mind re Genesreunited. It appears that there was much to-ing and fro-ing between Cheshire and Lancashire (apart from borders changing regularly) which makes me think perhaps a Flixton marriage, a decade or two in Cheshire then a return to Liverpool, mightn't be too much out of the line of possibility. Just how to prove it (with common named folk)! I have resigned myself to the fact I will probably never know .. but always pursue any line that pops up that might unearth something new. I have started the new Ward thread so it will be interesting to see if anything develops there. Thank you Mary A - you have been wonderful helping me with this eternally frustrating lineage of mine. It has become, however, a fascinating family to learn about - and Mary Ward/Wright has turned out to be a real inspiration of a woman, mother, wife and business woman in an age when it is difficult to put any/much meat on the bones of the vital records of women of the day!
