Hi Debbie,
Not sure if you still need this but I looked up Nellie's marriage and death registration.
Robert Ball was a 45yr old widower when they married. His occupation was Agent, lived at 810 16th Ave and was born in Shevington, Lancs to Edward Ball and Sarah Read. His father was a farmer.
Nellie was 28, a spinster, employed as a machinist and lived at Suite 7 Ryan Court at 10th and Ontario in Vancouver. Father James Worsley, mother Hannah Parks. They were married at St Michael's Anglican Church (which is very close to her residence) on 3 Jun 1920 at 2:30pm (the vicar was very specific!) There was no note relating to a divorce so I assume Robert died.
Nellie died at Vancouver General Hospital. Her usual address was 2568 Cambridge Street, Vancouver. She lived in the city 46yrs, the municipality 46yrs and the province 46 years before her death. She was married to Harry Ratcliffe, born in Manchester 8 Jun 1890. Parents as listed above. She was cremated and her husband acted as the informant. She died of acute left ventricle failure. Contributing cause was colon cancer. She had surgery related to the cancer 11 days before she died.
Regards, Lynwen
