Hi Everyone

My grandmother was a Broderick. Her father (my g grandfather) was apparently a Patrick Broderick, a soldier with an Irish regiment that was sent to South Africa in the 1800's. He was based in Cape Town. My grandmother was born in Cape Town, South Africa.

Can anyone shed any information on Patrick Broderick or the Irish regiment that was sent to South Africa? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
