Hi I am trying to trace a marriage of:

William Duckworth b.1812 Liverpool
Agnes b. 1813 Liverpool (married name Duckworth)

I have searched the IGI and Ancestry and can only find one marriage around the birth of their first child William b. however on the census 1941 onwards they are dwelling in Liverpool where they were both born?

17 Nov 1833
Marriage Place:   Accrington, Lancashire, England

In 1841 Agnes 26 is living without her husband with the Ripleys at
Gerard Street, Liverpool with her children William 6, Margaret 5, George 3 and Alice 1.

I can't find William in 1841... Gaol? Military? Although a William is close in Ormskirk but the census is unreadable.
Your thoughts on the marriage and 1841 Census for William please?

Davidjnr - have you tried the Lancashire Online Parish Clerk Project website? They have transcribed many registers for Liverpool parishes - you need to check each individually at the moment. If you have any parish information (either from the census - noting the 1841 problem, or perhaps a child's baptism) you may be able to narrow the search down.

I would doubt that the marriage you have in Accrington is yours as there is a William Duckworth with wife Agnes living in New Accrington in 1841, their first child bn c1835

In 1851 they have numerous children. H0107 2185 575 33
Getting a birth cert for one born after 1837 will give Agnes's maiden name, and thus be a help to locating correct marriage.
