doody ireland-new zealand
« on: Wednesday 30 September 09 04:14 UTC (UK) »

Hello there,

Can any body help me discover anything about Michael DOODY, born in Cloonrinagh, Clare about 1846.

Michael married Annie LONG in New Zealand on the 8/10/1874.

I have their marrige certificate, but unfortunatly it does not name Michaels parents.

I think he  may have travelled to NZ on his own but I'm not sure.

Annie was born in 1850 in GALTYMORE, Tippeary.

Any information about Michael would be so gratefully recieved.

Regards

Hi Rob,

The links you have given me are so brilliant, I cannot thank you enough.  How lucky you are in Clare to have such great resources.  I have had a very happy afternoon taking it all in!!

My Doody's in New Zealand are turing out to be real characters, "fond of the drink" evidently Wink

Thanks again so much for your help

Cheers
