Would SKP lookup 1901 census Liverpool for William Roche/Roach He was born Liverpool approx 1882.
I know he was not living with his parents at that time as I have their record.

Hi Heywood,
Yes that is the family in 1891.
I found William Roche SNR c1856 1901 RG13 3480
138 Stitt Street. Liverpool.
Living with him was his son Christopher age 3 c1898.
I think his married daughter Mary ? Donnelly nee Roche and her husband lived there as well.
Living at No 134 Stitt Street was another daughter Ellen Maher abt 1881 nee Roche and her husband John Maher.
William Roches` wife Ellen was I believe in HM Prison Hornby Road. West Derby Walton on the Hill.Born abt 1862,
1901 RG 13/ 3457.
Ellen Roach Age 39 Married Born Ireland.
I have found who I believe was the other child Joseph Roach. Age 12 in St Georges Industrial School for Boys 137a West Derby Road Everton.
William Roche/Roach Snr died 1903. I have just sent off for death certificate for Ellen Roche MQ 1906 age 43 West Derby 8b 385.
Christopher Patrick Roach bn 1897 was in Roman Catholic Boys Industrial School Beacon Lane St Georges Liverpool Age 13 This was in 1911 ( record from census )
Christopher was born 28/12/1897 Liverpool Surname on Birth Certificate Roche.
I do not have any record for William Roche/Roach c 1882 in 1901 census I know he went on to marry ?? no record
He lived in close proximity to his sister Ellen in early 1940s Liverpool.
I do not have any records for Christopher but am told that the children from Industrial School may have been sent to Canada.
Would be interested in records you found for children in industrial school and home.
The child Bridget mentioned in 1891 census age 2 months sadly died.

Thank you for your help. Now I am beginning to think that the brother of my grandmother ( who lived close by to her ) was Joseph Roche not William, it seems strange that he can not be found after 1891. I found a record of death for William Roche DQ 1895 Liverpool 8b 19.
Will have to keep searching

William Roche Snr died 1903. The other William Roche died 1895 it`s possible he is the son.
