The even more scarier thing waiting for you (and all of us) is when you look at your personal profile page here on RC (under show the general statistics for this RootsChatter) and see how many hours you have been on line on RC since you first registered. Mine is a jaw dropping 128 days, 10 hours and 22 minutes Promise, I leave it on sometimes without logging off I think I have a life.....

When I first started researching: I would travel 50 miles into London and search through the large ledgers at the records centres etc. sometimes spending 6 or more hours there. Then came the internet. From about 2000 the time spent increased to an average of 4 hours a day reaching peaks when the 1901 census came on line [14 hours in one day] and the 1911 census [9 hours] These days the most I spend is about 2 hours at one go. But if I find an elusive ancestor........................

Remember those stickers people used to have on the back of their cars ?
Around here it was always 'Young Farmers do it in Their Wellies' ... I used to work in archaeology, and had one on my car which said 'Archaeologists do it by Trowel and Era' !!
I think we need one for Family History freaks enthusiasts !
Any ideas ?
