Ann Franklin - where was she in 1881?

I'm unable to find Ann Franklin, nee Wride, in the 1881 census.  I have located her in 1871 and 1891, on both occasions living in Cottingham where she was born around 1820. By 1891 she was a widow.
Can anyone throw some light please?

think she's called herself Mary ?

For the life of me I cannot understand why she has suddenly called herself Mary???  In every census she is Ann with no suggestion of a 2nd name with the initial of M. But, you are right, she had a daughter called Norah born around 1868 and a son called John born around 1850, actually one of twins.  She also lived in West Green from 1861 until at least 1891 according to the census so thank you very much.  I would never have considered looking for her under a different name.
