Hi Helen-darleen

There are 2 births showing on Scotland's People for Fred* Waldie 1880-1890. They are both in 1884 which would roughly correspond with his age at death.

One is in Lochee, Angus; the other Tradeston, Glasgow.

The birth certificates would give the parents names, and where and when they were married.

In trying to pin down when he arrived in Australia I did a search and found this:
http://newspapers.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/1598798?searchTerm=waldie

I don't know how to tell if it is your Frederick Waldie or not!

Hope this helps

Kirsty
