William CORK of Uffculme, Devon (b. 1811)

I am trying to find the ancestors of William Cork born in Uffculme, Devon in 1811, married to Maria, (who was possibly from London) born in 1819.

William had a son John b. 1847 and lived in Uffculme - married to Mercy (Bennett) b. 1852, also born in Uffculme.

If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

Hell Turfy, and welcome to Rootschat,

couldn't find William's baptism, but Freereg has a possible marriage for William Cork marrying a Maria Gill, in 1838.

There are a lot of baptisms on Freereg for "Corks" in Uffculme, but unfortunately they start in 1814!

Just as your message came through I received a reply from another very kind researcher containing the exact same information! The info fits perfectly with Mary Ann Hine (Cork) William's daughter appearing on his death certificate..
