St Marys R.C. Bootle - 1873 Marriage Look Up

Just wondered if anyone can help.

Looking for the marriage of a WILLIAM SIGGINS Apr/May/Jun 1873 at St Mary's Church (Roman Catholic), Bootle, Liverpool.

Any information greatly appreciated.

Where did you get the name of the church from as the marriage is not on LancashireBMD

I have just checked LancashireBMD and you are correct nothing comes up here which is very strange because his marriage appears on every other family history search facility!!!!      Including FreeBMD.

The marriage was June 1873 listed as District West Derby and narrowed down by other relatives to St Mary's RC in Bootle which they think would come under the West Derby area at that time.

Thought I was getting told off then for giving the wrong information!!

Not at all

If it had been on LancsBMD - it's unlikely that the church would have been shown as RC churches usually just show "Registrar attended"

Freebmd never shows the church - just the GRO reference and the quarter in which it took place

That is the answer to my question - as it is not listed to a particular church I was just puzzled as to where you had got St Mary's from
