Fraser Family, Blairy, Glenmoriston
« on: Thursday 01 October 09 18:31 UTC (UK) »

I'm looking for information about family decendants from William Fraser b1831 and Janet nee Matheson his wife b1832/3 who lived at Blairy, Glenmoriston.  William worked as a Gamekeeper on the estate there.  Their children were Thomas, Catherine, Finlay, Grace, Alexander and May and possibly Ann. I have found them on various census for that area but would be interested to hear any other information. Sandra Smiley

Hi    There is a website all about Glenmoriston, including census returns and a useful census database. Donald McDonald, who set up the site, is  from Glenmoriston and it might be worth getting in touch with him as he may have some information about the Frasers from Blairy.
Try

or google glenmoriston history photos 150 years
Good luck!       Jeanne

Thank you Jeanne for the information on the Glenmoriston site.  I have used the one you mentioned and it was a great help, especially the census returns.  From that point I found Scotlands People and traced relations back to the late 1700's,  but the bit that  I would like to fill is finding living relations from the Fraser family and some stories about them and that will be more difficult  I expect!  But who knows one of them may read this ....... thank you very much for your contact.
Regards
