childrens deaths,

hi, can any one help me find some childrens death my great great grandparents had at least 11 children from 1893 to 1913 four of thease children died  my great grandmother was born in 1903 and remembers that two of the children was a set of twins and the other two apparently was tipped out of the pram accidently  by some one who took them out ,  thay both died one with bad head injury, but my great grandmother is no longer here so we cant ask what date for which child , wouled this information be in a newspaper  i have searched the bmd but   have only the surname to go on , the name of the parents is henry and ada marie hawkings, essex street whitstable. i do know allso that while my great grandmother was expecting one of her children thay had to shut down the spar mineralcompany next door as she was having a bad labour, wouled that allso be in a newspaper or gazette .  liz:)

Infant deaths were unlikely to be newsworthy, sadly they were all too common an occurance.

This seems to be the family in 1901

Looking at the deaths on FreeBMD index there are these in Blean reg distr for babies dying at less than a yr old

Frank Oct/Nov/Dec 1900
Irene Caroline Jul/Aug/Sep 1906
Norman L Jan/Feb/Mar 1911

These may be some of them

Do you know Ada's maiden name?

Births from 1911 will show maiden name in the index, so yuo can find which ones were born then

modified -
Marriage Oct/Nov/Dec 1893
Henry HAwkins / one of brides Ada Maria Pont or Pout

Birth Constance C C Hawkins, mums maiden name Pout, Jul/Aug/Sep 1913
No death for her as baby.

both Jan/Feb/Mar 1911, ref 2a 941
and as mentioned before Norman L dies in same quarter

HI,YES THATS THE RIGHT FAMILY , MOTHERS MAIDEN NAME WAS POUT. I KNOW ABOUT A FRANK AND A IRENE BUT THERE WAS SOME TWINS ASWELL CONSTANCE HAWKINS WAS THE YONGGEST AS FAR AS I KNOW I DONT KNOW IF A NORMAN WAS ONE OF ADAS .

If there were 4 that died, and you know of Frank and Irene, that leaves two to find.
The twin connection certainly makes Norman very likely, so just one to go!

thease are all the children i can think of       
   george born 1894  survived. thomas born 1896-1898 died at 2 years fred born1898 survived. frank born1900 died 1900, age 0. dorothy born 1903 survived . irene born 1906 died 1906 age 0 , inez born 1908 survived connie born 1913 survived geofrey born 1911 died not sure 1970s and gerald not sure 19 14 but survived  i think the other twin might of been thomas  twin 1896-1898, . no other Hawkins registration in same quarter - so unlikely to be a twin.

What was wrong with Norma/Norman?

hi the children in 1911, my grandma,- dorothy born 1903 she is the one who told my mum sh had siblings that died .  inez born 1908.  connie 1913 .. geofrey 1911 and gerald  1914 all the other children was born 1894 onwards it looks lik my great grandmother must of had a child every two years   because she mentioned frank and irene and a set of twins i know she lost children before my great grandmother because thay named her dorothy may.    which aparently my greatgreat grandmother named her dorothy may stay , because of the loss of the children before her . :0
