Archives NZ holds information on an Old Land Claim Case file

(John Wade  Parakau (Archives reference:  OLC 1 72* OLC7A      no date)

Does anybody know what inforamtion I would receive if I ordered a copy of the Case file?

Hmmm ... archives files.    Think "Lottery"  ... 'cos really there is no way of predicting the contents. Cheesy

I have viewed a few of these old land claim records, and the information has been scant ... in the main,  just a name, an address, and a brief outline of the claim being made - or a question being asked about "entitlement to a claim".

That Archives New Zealand has listed a file as having "no date", is suggestive that correspondence has not been generated in the particular matter (i.e. a reply from an official source, would in all likelihood, bear a date).
That is not to say though, that the claim (or request) has not been dealt with - usually a brief note has been "scribbled" on the claimant's letter advising of what the outcome was (and perhaps that was also conveyed to the claimant, in person ?)
