Legacy 7 Deluxe GEDCOM problems
« on: Sunday 04 October 09 14:03 UTC (UK) »

I use this program, fully updated, when I send a Legacy file, or more usually a GEDCOM I am frequently told the recipient is unable to open it. Anyone an idea why, and how do I correct things please?

Hi

When you select FILE then EXPORT To select GEDCOM. A window opens headed GEDCOM EXPORT. There is a dropdown box labelled Produce File for. Try selecting GEDCOM 5.5 only I think this is a generic one that can be opened by most family history software.
