Lyons in Whaplode

I'm trying to track down the birth of William Lyon, who died in Spalding in 1838 aged 37.  In the 1851 census, his daughter was living with her uncle, John Lyon, who was born in Whaplode.  This leads me to think that William Lyon was John's brother and was likely to have been born in Whaplode as well.

Would be grateful if anyone has access to the Whaplode parish registers to see if there is any mention of the birth of William Lyon circa 1800.  Have looked at the IGI but there's no mention there.

Had a quick look at some fiches for Whaplode at the Archives this morning - could only find the following:-

William s. of William and Mariah LOWN  (Lincolnshire dialect?) 2 February 1800
William s. of Robert and Sarah Lloyd  22 May 1799

Also - strange but no parents beside entry for Mary Pearson baptism.

Thanks for looking in the Archives for me.  At first sight, I don't think the two Williams fit, but I'll need to do some checking at this end.

As you say, strange no parents listed for Mary Pearson.  The gods are conspiring against me again!!!
