William Spain on 1901

Hello,

Im trying to find out where my William Spain was on 1901.

He was born c1832 Ramsgate and is with his wife Mary Ann and children on 1881/91.

On the 1901 Mary born 1841 Canterbury is with a grandchild and is described as married,but theres no sign of William.I cant find him anywhere on the 1901.

By 1911,Mary is a widow,living with her young widowed daughter and grand daughter.

So if 1901 is correct,William died between 1901 and 1911,but i can find no death record.

If anyone can find Williams death,or where he was in 1901 id be very grateful,

Is he the William George SPAIN who married Mary Ann in Canterbury http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,378963.0.html  Huh

If so, what about William George SPAIN died 1895 age 66 http://freebmd.rootsweb.com Huh

Hello Casalguidi,

yes he is that William.

The problem is Mary Ann born 1841 Canterbury is on the 1901 as married.Id be grateful for a second opinion,but im pretty sure it says M for married,comparing it to others on the page.

So if the 1895 death is William,that must be a mistake.If shed re married her surname would be different.

The only other thing i can think of is theyed seperated and she wasnt aware he was dead at that time.

Shes down as a widow on the 1911.
