Hi,
Hoping someone might be able to lookup a marriage for William Olner (b. abt. 1797) to Sarah (b. abt. 1801, Lichfield, maiden name unknown). Two children born to this couple were christened Orton on the Hill parish (Mary, 16-Jan-1821 and Elizabeth, 29-Mar-1823). The couple were living in Austrey (Warw.) in 1841; Nuneaton (Warw.) in 1861. Hi Mike,
Emma is my g.g.grandmother b.16 apr 1846 Leicester. Thank you so much for your post. I was not aware of any Jane in this family, however I have a Michael William (b.1850). I was most hoping for Sarah's family name, thanks once again for this info.

Since I have become aware of John Flavel Olner and his (quite large) family, I have wondered if he may be related to my William. I have looked over the LDS film of Orton on the Hill Christenings 1594-1875, and although Olner christenings begin as early as 1668, I have not found any positive connection as of yet.

You are most kind and generous, thanks again.

By any chance did the Grimes-Richardson marriage record contain any parental information? I am trying to connect Sarah to a baptism entry (1812 Mancetter) possible parents: Michael and Elizabeth.

Entry No. 477, b. 16th of April 1846 at No.2 Collins Yard Hill Street, St. Margarets. Surname spelled as GRYMES.

The last entry for St. George's Parish Church, is it for a birth event?

Thanks for the amendment.

Recent searches for William & Sarah Grimes family in 1841 and 1851 have turned up nothing to date, but I will keep looking. About 8 years ago I found an entry in the (FHS) 1851 census index for Leicester (City), and recorded a Michael William Grimes, 1 yr. He would be the only other child as far as I know. Cheesy

Thanks so much, the source info I had has been bugging me for a while. Not only did I just transcribe an index, but being a newbie at the time, I may have disregarded other details, as in the Hinckley reference! That's very interesting to learn of.

In case you are curious, these are the entries I found for Grimes christenings, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, 1814-1872, FHS ref 0883942:
