Ashley Cock married Lydia Green 10 Oct 1722 (IGI)

ANY additional information would be greatly appreciated on Ashley Cock.

From freereg.org, the marriage appears to be on there but Lydia is a widow, so could be her maiden/married name

St Nicholas Ashill 10 Oct 1722 Ashley Cock, single and Lydia Wilkerson widow

Cheers

Lydia was born in West Bradenham, and yet married in Ashill.

Is this not against what was the practice of getting married in the brides Parish of birth ?

Hi there

It was usual to marry in the brides parish but it doesn't always follow "convention", a bit like naming children really. Pity our ancestors didn't stick 100% to tradition.
