Janet Jardine amd John Dickson
« on: Tuesday 06 October 09 06:24 UTC (UK) »

I wonder if I will be as lucky with results for my Jardine - Dickson search ?
Janet Jardine ( Gerdon,Jardon, Jardine)  married John Dickson and they  were living West Dawick Peeblesshire ,when I first found them and they had their family there. John  and Janet were born c 1780 , I guess , born where ?, married  c 1800 where? BUT  the story goes that both John and Janet died in  Lochmaben, Dumfriesshire . Janet  died about 1819 when her  youngest son John was 2. There is no trace of a birth for her daughter Isabella b c 1816 and son John b c 1817 or a death for John or Janet.
Other children born West Dawick were   Adam 1800, Janet 1803, Elizabeth 1804, William 1807, Andrew 1809 Walter 1813. And last two Isabella and John POB unknown.
I hope this rings a bell with someone.
Thanks

Thank you  for your reply CSC . I have family from John and Janet onwards but I was interested to see if I could get back any further especially with the Jardines in Lochmaben.
