Please help! I am looking for George & Elizabeth Scott and family in the 1881 census. I have searched high and low and simply can't track them down.
They seemed to have been fairly consistently in the Bloomsbury / Holborn area, indeed George was also living there with his parents in 1861.
Here they are in 1871:
RG 10 / 341 / Folio 84 / Page 44 8, Hyde Street, Bloomsbury George M. Scott, head, m, 27, Journeyman Cheesemonger, Colney Hatch Elizabeth do, wife, 27, Clerkenwell George D. do, son, 5, Midx, Bloomsbury William E. do, son, 3, do Henry A. do, son, 1, do
And in 1891
RG 12/ 220 / Folio 145/ Page 45 6, Greville Street, Holborn George Scott, head, m, 48, Labourer, Colney Hatch Elizabeth do, wife, m, 50, Clerkenwell William do, son, s, 23, glass cutter, Bloomsbury Charlotte do, daur, s, 19, box maker, do Henry do, son, s, 21, compositor, do Rosa do, daur, s, 17, Tailoress, St Giles Robert do, son, s, 15, errand boy, do Richard do, do, 13, do do, do Edward do, do, 7, scholar, do
The family were still in Hoborn in 1901 - RG 13 / 246 / 42 / 13
If anyone could help find them I'd be very grateful
