Good Evening,
I am writing in the hope that someone local to Dolgelly (Dolgellau) can help me in obtaining a photograph of a CWGC relating to a WW2 casualty buried at Dolgelly Nonconformist Cemetery.
The headstone relates to the below casualty, who whilst serving with the 1st battalion Parachute Regiment dies on active service whilst at home on the 16th April 1945.
NAME; Private Gwilyn Grey EVANS
UNIT / REGIMENT: 1st battalion Parachute Regiment
GRAVE LOCATION: Section F, Grave 13
This request is to aid a research project aimed at identifying all casualties during WW2 who served with or in support of the Airborne Forces.
