I just love these two photos, judging by the crowds it was obviously a real event, but can anyone suggest a date please?

I think the day on the billboard says Wednesday July 17th. There are some perpetual calendars around but  I'm not having much luck with that type of conversion at the moment though  Undecided

I'll keep looking
