Agnes Eston

I can only find one record of an Agnes Eston birth - 4.5.1879, Belfast, illegitimately to an Agnes Eston, no father on birth certificate.
However, details of a marriage to Wilson Barr on 9.12.1904 gives the father as a James Eston. A Govan Eston was one of the witnesses - his father being a James and mother Martha. They lived in Lawther St, Govan in Lawther Place. Agnes's address was given as 48 Lawther St so I know I am on the right track.
How likely is it that Agnes was the child of James' sister Agnes - if he did have a sister? Or was James not on the cert because he wasn't married to the mother? This seems unlikely as his wife's name was Martha?
The ages on the 1911 Census plus marriage cert all ties up with the birth cert...
Any thoughts?

Thanks everyone, lots to think about, I will look into them all!
Her age on the marriage cert and 1911 census all point to an 1878/9 birth, but I shouldn't discount the 1877 one, should I!
Hmmm...

That's great maryderry,
I'll look into those names - I have even found James listed as an Erskine in the 1901 St directory!!
Sadly there is no address on Agnes' birth certificate, so I'm stuck there. There is a witness on there called Jane Gordon, may or may not prove helpful...
Aw well, I'll keep on searching!
Kind regards.
