Help!!!
I have a will of a Robert Thompson Griffin- who died in Hindringham, Norfolk in August 1851.
The will lists his estate as being: 'messenges, lands, tenements and hereditaments situate in Bedfordbury, Covent Garden, Middlesex; Kings Lynn, Norfolk and Hindringham, Norfolk'.
Can anyone tell me how I can find out what the property was in Bedfordbury, Covent Garden, and when and to whom its ownership changed after Robert's death??
I have no idea where to go on this one, but it really intrigued me that a Farmer from Norfolk had property of some sort in Covent Garden...and I wondered about how and when he aquired it, and what happen to it after his death.
Thanks- I really hope someone can help!

Thanks Valda Made for interesting reading, and sounds as though there should be something there, as long as it was actually in his name....unfortunately I dont live in the UK though. I have tried to do a search to see if there is something listed in his name, but you dont seem to be able to do that?
Can you let me know if I have missed something and I can search online? And any suggestions from anyone on how to get a copy if it exsits??
Thanks! Kylie B

Hi
This requires research in these records at the LMA
http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/Corporation/LGNL_Services/Leisure_and_culture/Records_and_archives/About_LMA/
Despite huge gains in records on the internet they are still really mostly only easily accessible and basic records such as censuses, parish records and wills or very popular records such as soldiers documents which are also relatively easy to film. The vast majority of records held by record offices (and the 100 miles of shelved records at The National Archives) are only accessible at the record offices themselves.
Regards
Valda
