Boer War look up please (Queens South Africa Medal 1899-1902?)

Hello,
I am looking for evidence that Horace Edwin Cole Littlejohns was in the Boer War at the turn of the century.
He was born in the summer of 1880.

Can anybody help with a medal lookup? I saw neil1821's stickied offer for the Queens South Africa Medal 1899-1902.

P.S. Sorry, I don't know the regiment or any other helpful information like that.

He's not Royal Engineers either (3 down!)
I have others but they're not as simple as a speculative alphabetical lookup.  Undecided

Perhaps we could go down the line of mounted inf again...

Perhaps he was Welch all along!!

1st bn South Africa Boer War

2nd bn India

One coy from each bn was designated mounted inf in the Boer War....You never know!!! Grin
