Hello
« on: Friday 09 October 09 10:18 UTC (UK) »

Hello, I am a newbie - just signed up this afternoon and have never been a member of a genealogy site before.  I have only had a little look around, but it looks really good, so thank you to the people who have organised this site. You have done a lot of work and I have a lot to learn.
Little bit by little bit I will learn, but please bear with me if I ask silly questions. Wink
We have got back into researching the family tree(s) and it is a bit of a forest at times, it is a bit too easy to get sidetracked with other interesting little paths.
Our families are mostly Crawfords (Ayrshire), Ellis England), Davis (England) and a few others.
I have yet to work out how to put this into my profile and I am happy to be told how this is done.
See, I told you I might ask some silly questions   Tongue

Hi, Natta, and welcome.

I was told that there is no such thing as a "silly" question - only silly answers!

Make use of the search button, at the top; you'll find that a lot of beginner's questions will have been asked before, by other beginners.

Have fun.

'Hat.

Hi Natta

Welcome to Rootschat

Enjoy the site & the wonderful people who in time will help you put the bones on your tree.

There is also a very good chatroom on the site, along with great researchers willing to help you along the way.

Enjoy your journey

Regards Judi

Hello Natta,

If your question is a silly one then most of us have asked even sillier ones at some time. Can I echo Mr Hat's sentiments and say that there are no silly questions. Whatever it is you are needing to know, there will be someone who will try to help you. We don't always succeed but we'll give it our best shot.

Ask away! Smiley
