I am looking for the death of Sarah Thompson who died in 1929 can anyone help me or is the date too early to find anything
I know nothing about her she was married to my grt grandfather John Thompson
They lived in Flodden house Spittal

I keep forgetting about Spittal being in Northumberland and sometimes Durham in the good old days  (Now postal address is Berwick upon Tweed )

This information will probably be of no real use to you at all but I have just resurrected approx 100 post cards which are correspondence between my grandmother Eliza Leach (nee Thomson) and her mother, her sister Nell (Ellen) Thomson and brother Archibald (Archie Thomson). My grandmother was is service for all of her working life. All the family came from the Nothumberland area. Anyway whilst trying to sort the cards out, amongst them are two addressed to Miss E Thomson (could be either Eliza or Nell) at Flodden House, Spittal, both dated in 1904. One card was a picture of Belford and the other of Berwick-on-Tweed. As I said I do not suppose this will help you in any way but I have passed it on for interest. I have not started on my family tree yet. I start an introductory course in the New Year!

Hi There,
The family of Thompson's did live in Flodden House for many years .This could be Eleanor ( Nell or sometimes Nellie )
or Elizabeth (Bessie ) .These ladies are my grt aunties ,I cannot think who could be at Belford around 1904 .I do know the Stark family were around that area but that is on the other side of my family ,there sister Martha Thompson my grandmother married Walter Stark in 1908 .Strangely enough I belong Belford .My parents moved from Spittal to Belford sometime in 1937 ,Just before I was born . You cannot send me a PM until you have made 3 posts .

I have had a look at my tree
Eleanor was born 12.3.1888
and Elizabeth was born 1891
in 1904 this is making the girls 16 and 13
so there could be a link between the families
only i note my Thompson has a P in it
Will look up my 1911 census I know Eleanor is still at home but not sure about Elizabeth ,she married Thomas Temple
