Jones in Haverfordwest What a hope!
« on: Friday 09 October 09 12:35 UTC (UK) »

Can any kind person locally help me out to save another journey of two hundred miles. I have been unable to find the death of Richard Jenkins JONES. Born 1811 in Haverfordwest and baptised in St Mary's on 2 Jun 1811. At the time of the 1851 census he was living with his family at 7 Grove place and described as a former draper. He was still alive at the time of his son's mariage in 1867. I can find no trace of him in the 1861 census or subsequemt one. I am despasrate to find his burial. Can anyone help or suggesthwere I might look

I searched Haverfordwest St Mary burials 1867 to 1884 today, the only entry that appears to relate to your research is;
Richard Jones of Mariners Square buried 17 March 1870 aged 65 yrs.
I know its a gamble, but his death certificate 1st Qtr 1870 H'west Reg District Vol 11a page 603, would be worth a purchase, in the hope that who ever registered the death you can recognise as family.
