Hi Penny, This may be late and you may already have this info. Taken from the Abingdon St.Helens PRs from the OFHS; Baptised 18-2-1810 Catharine Stockwell dau of Daniel & Elizabeth, Carpenter.
also
Uffington PRs from OFHS. There is no record of John Thomas Kirkpatrick being baptised in this parish. I did find these two baptisms; 25-12-1809 Robert Kirkpatrick (aged 10 weeks) son of John & Ann, Uffington 25-12-1811 Henry William Kirkpatrick son of John & Ann, Uffington Hope this helps to narrow your search.

Hi Penny,
In continuing the search, I have found the following marriages in Uffington.
Unfortunately nothing for Catherine Stockwell to John Kirkpatrick but at least it seems to tie the Kirkpatricks to this parish for a while;
23 Aug 1847 Turner James, f. a, b, carrier, Goring to Kirkpatrick Barbara Ann, f.a., sp, d John, Shoemaker wits; Elizabeth Kirkpatrick, Sarah Kirkpatrick, John Kirkpatrick
also
11 Dec 1849 Kirkpatrick James, f a, b, Shoemaker, s John, Shoemaker to Hatton Sophia Maria, fa, sp, d Lewis Pickrin, Gardener wits; Lewis Pickrin Hatton, Elizabeth Barnes, John Kirkpatrick, Adelaide Hatton

James Daniel Stockwell

Hi Alan,
I am so pleased to have this additional information. It certainly helps me a great deal and may assist me to solve the link to the name TURNER. In the 1851 census, I found my gggrandfather, James STOCKWELL, living with John TURNER and being described as a grandson. Maybe, there was some sort of family connection I will eventually discover.
Anyway, Alan, many thanks again for all your help.
Penny
