Does anyone have information on a John George Makepeace of Banbury. He was a cattle/horse dealer born 1864 - died in 1950. Lived in or off Castle Street for a greater part of his life.

Interesting - the burial date of their only son Ernest Thackeray - the date recorded on his death certificate is 23rd December 1917 at the The Military Hospital Kempston. I had better inform whoever of the clash.

I am interested in any formal 'club/association' that might have been formed representing the Banbury cattle/horsedealers.

He was my maternal grandfather.I am after photographs if any exist to match against many that I possess of the family.
