Ok, I got given these yesterday.
John Bourke m Marianne Smith 1865 # 3096
Their children
1. Catherine Marie b 1866 Woodend
2. Mary Ellen b 1868 Woodend
3. Patrick Francis b 1870 Woodend
4. John Bonaventure b 1871 Woodend
5. Annie Jane b 1871 Woodend
6. William Joseph b 1873 Trentham
7. Horatio John b 1874 Woodend
8. David Eugene b 1876 Woodend
9. Evaline Marguerita b 1878 Woodend
10. Henry Thomas b 1880 Woodend
11. Amelia Zoe b 1882 Woodend
12. Herbert Charles b 1885 Trentham
I want to find out if any of them died? and some of them moved to New Zealand.
I would like to be able to go back further on John and Marianne's lineage

Mmm ... I don't think that Marianne SMITH b. 1855 Sandhurst - would be the mother of Catherine Marie born 1866 though ?

that can't be Marianne's birth, it married in 1865, and she cant have been born in 1855, she'd be only 10yrs old

Yes Woodend is just out of Melbourne. I haven't got access to shipping records but I am hoping someone else will pick up on that. Let me know if you need more look ups.
I had a look for John's birth there were too many possibilities. Do you know his parents names?

Were there any deaths (especially as infants) for these children of Marianne and John BOURKE ?
[Excepting of course Catherine Marie and Evalina, who we know died in New Zealand].

This looks like "Herbert Charles - b. 1855" marrying in NZ.
NZ Marriage Index
Herbert Charles BOURKE - Annie Louise BULLIAMS - 1912
"BULLIAMS" ... pretty close to "BULLIANS" (Evalina's married name) ... isn't it ?? (It's probably a spelling error on the index ?) Perhaps brother and sister, marrying a brother and sister ?

Maybe it was "Herbert Charles" - who was known as "Bert" ?
