just need to find a death for John, then I will order the death printout.
would it state his parents names??

It depends on whether the informant to the death, actually knew the names of his parents.

But think positively ... John had lots of kids ... one of them hopefully would have supplied some (helpful) information.    Smiley

I looked at Hawera cemetery records earlier (before having the benefit of the names supplied by Alison) ...

Actually, I picked up on a listing for a "George Francis Frank BOURKE" - d. 30 April 1997 ... born 1913.    (Hawera Presbyterian Cemetery).

Am now thinking that this may a child of "Herbert Charles" (who married in 1912) ?   Edit :   Ooops  ... meant "Horatio John Bourke"

[SO is this "Frank" Huh ]   Indexed as "George Francis Frank"  ... (Frank of course is a diminutive of the name "Francis') Huh

Have you had a look for a "Patrick Francis BOURKE" death in NZ ?    (I can't see a NZ marriage for that name - may be Patrick Francis died as an infant ?)
