On the Roxburghshire board there's a conversation about HUGGANS/JEFFREY which includes:
James Jeffrey was born c 1854 in Kelso - ....
My Great Grandmother Agnes Jeffrey (daughter of James and Helen Huggan) married John Sinton 3rd April 1909 - their first child was born on 5th April 1909 so they cut it fine..lol... she died in first qtr 1956 (currently waiting for her death certificate to arrive). Will try to post more info after school run!!!!

I'm interested in the SINTON portion of this conversation.
The John SINTON mentioned is probably the son born Bamburgh to George SINTON and Ann WEATHERSTON.
I'm not related, that I know of, but am interested in all SINTONs and their possible inter-relationships as I administer the SINTON Surname DNA Project

As some of my Roxburghshire SINTONs moved south into Northumberland, I would be very interested in hearing whether or not there might be a direct male line SINTON down the end of this SINTON family interested enough in the project to join and represent this line and test this theory.
The earliest member I've traced so far is George SINTON who married Elizabeth HUMBLE.
