In the 1851 census there is a John Seccombe in the parish of Buckland Monochorum near Tavistock. His mother is listed as Grace, a widow of 62. I believe her death is registered in Tavistock in 1870 when she was 79.  I am trying to discover Grace's maiden name and her husband's Christian name. I note that Grace was born in Bratton Clovelly. Is anyone able to help to trace John's parents' names and their marriage probably in the 1820s?

Buckland Monachorum Parish Register:
25 Jul 1823 Rachel Skinner SECCOMBE dau of James & Grace of Torr, father a Yeoman.
7 May 1826 John SECCOMBE son of James & Grace of Tor - father a farmer.
22 Feb 1829 Elizabeth SECCOMBE dau of James & Grace of Buckland - father a labourer
29 Aug 1822 James SECCOMBE married Grace TOOK
18 Jul 1830 James SECCOMBE was buried aged 48
