COMPLETE... with thanks. Which church is this?
« on: Saturday 10 October 09 21:54 UTC (UK) »

Hello Everyone

Can someone please identify this church.
This is a painting my mother did probably 40-50 years ago, though I'm not sure.
I would have thought it would have been in the East London area as she lived in Leytonstone area until the early 1960's.
Of course it may have been done from memory from her travels, or from a photo or magazine picture.
Any help much appreciated

Kind regards
Hilary

Hi Hilary,

Pretty sure it is St Peter Port in Guernsey -  St Peter Port Town Church.

If you google "St Peter Port Town Church" there's a picture a little bit like your mothers.....The church tower is definitely right - and the warehouses at the side.
