how do I get this on one page?
« on: Sunday 11 October 09 05:45 UTC (UK) »

I'll try to explain this verbally. I should be posting the page but I'm not sure how to do it.
If you look at the Canadian Drouin Collection of BMD church records you get the photo of the actual double page, with entries on both sides.
When I try to print this it tells me to put it on Landscape and change the margins. Done.
The preview gives me only what I can see on the PC screen, with half the right-hand page missing. I've tried reducing to fit but it just reduces the same partial view.
Unfortunately, most of the people I'm looking at happen to be on the right-hand side of the page.
Can anything be done?

What I would most likely do is copy the image to my computer, then using a image editing program edit the image to fit.

A simple way you can print the entire image on to one page is to do a Print Screen.  All you have to do is to find the Print Screen key on the keyboard and press this once.  You then open up a new Word document.  Go to Edit and then Paste.  You will have the entire image of the screen on the page but you can crop the image to get rid of all of the things that you don't want and then resize the image.  Just manipulate the image in Word like you would a normal picture.  Crop the image, or reduce/enlarge the image using the Picture toolbar.  If you are not sure how to crop use the Help facility of Word.   You can also change the page orientation and margins etc of your Word document as you would do normally.

A really simply way of manipulating images using Word which most people have.

Have a go.  It is so easy.  You do not need any special programs, just your normal Word document.  Let us know how things work out.
