I am hitting a brickwall into finding any further information on Ruth Nichols.

She married William Adams 29 November 1773 at Arnesby.  On their marriage certificate it has them both of this parish.

She was buried in Arnesby on 6 January 1825  aged 85.  Which puts her year of birth about 1740. 

That would make her about 33 when she married so was she married before and Nichols was not her maiden name.  I cannot find any burials or births for Nichols in Arnnesby.

Can anyone shed any light on who Ruth was please.

the marriage cert may only have where she was living at the time of marriage rather than birth. she could perhaps be working as a servant there?? especially as she would be  36 at marriage.

there are also other nichols children to this couple on freereg. put in Northants / nichols and births.
