have come across info in my family tree search that my grandfather may already have been married before he "married" my grandmother--i have a date for my grandparents "marriage" but where would i start looking for original marriage info as supposedly a secret?

Hi and welcome to RootsChat

Your best bet is probably to put everything you know about Grandad on RootsChat and ask for help finding his first marriage.  It's amazing what RootsChatters can turn up  Cheesy

If possible include his date and place of birth and death, his family, anything about his marriage to Grandma, and also if you know he was in a particular area at any given time.

I take it you are aware that you shouldn't post anything that can identify a living person.
